MAKING HISTORY COME ALIVEKathy has one goal, to make history come alive for other readers the same way that her favorite authors did for her. To Kathy, history class was boring, memorizing dates and names and places were just meaningless terms. In spite of that, historical fiction novels were her favorite kind of book. She SAW Westward Expansion through Laura Ingalls’ eyes when she read the Little House books. She LIVED the Industrial Revolution along with mill workers in some of Ann Rinaldi’s novels. History came alive for her when she read about PEOPLE, and she loved it!
